What do you hate about Cornell?

Okay, so i noticed that there is a thread called "what do you love about cornell?" (link: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/cornell-university/439289-what-do-you-love-about-cornell-3.html) and i think a more interesting question would be what do you * hate * about cornell, since this question will strip the bias. Lets hear it :)

After thinking long and hard, here are my top 3 (in no particular order):

The fact we get charged $5 each time we get locked out. Freshman year, I had 3 roommates and we were always locking each other out.

The suckiness of the hockey team the past two years and the heartbreaking manner in which the team lost in the tourney the two years before that. I spent 5 hours at Benchwarmers (getting drunker and drunker) watching the Cornell-Wisconsin triple overtime game three years ago. Saw David McKee make 59 straight saves to preserve a shutout into the third overtime only to see Cornell lose 1-0.

The publication of the median grade reports. Terrible idea.

Honorable mention: the weather. I sometimes wish it were warmer as a Californian but I sometimes like the fact there are actual seasons.

tooooo expensive

There's a charge for everything. I even remember a while ago there was a charge to process the charge for something else.

The crappiness of the Cornell Daily Sun. Worst college paper ever.

The cost of rent in Collegetown

We don't get any holidays off (except christmas)

It could be repeat of the blizzard of '96 and Cornell won't close down

haha the daily sun does suck.

On bad days I really wish I went to an easier school.

Expensive.

Long winters. They're fine, but it gets old after winter break.

staying awake for days at a time

too much precipitation for my liking

campus really hilly (but then again, all of the walking keeps you exercising...meaning that you dont gain the freshman 15!)

no holidays off really sucks. sometimes you just need a break

everything

Hmmm.... Mr. Gnu.

what do you mean no holidays off?!?!? are upenn and amherst like that too?!?

We don't get Labor Day, Columbus Day, President's Day, any Jewish holidays (like some schools) or Martin Luther King Jr. Day. I don't know UPenn and Amherst policies so I can't speak for them.

the internet policy. I usually end up racking up over 20 bucks a month. :(

what is the internet policy?

Most of the private schools I can think of don't get those holidays off.

I think it's 5MB of download after that you get charged for every MB.

Too bureaucratic. Everytime I need something done I have to run to 10 different offices.

GB not MB.

I dislike some of the people who complain about certain things about Cornell. Walking? Weather? You know what you were getting into before you even applied.

My number one pet peeve about Cornell is the number of people (maybe 10-15% of the student population) who complain about how they got rejected from their first-choice school. I got rejected from Princeton too, buddy. Deal with it. No reason to dwell on the fact.

The policy next year is even worse. Even though they upped it to 10GB, they're also going to charge for traffic incurred over Red Rover (the wireless internet).

Cornell has to get its finanical aid money from somewhere.

even though i dont go there, i'll add my 2 cents since no one has mentioned this :)

I hate that you gotta pay for TV cable even though its free at other schools!

there are schools with free cable TV?! alright now im mad...
