<p>My son just transferred to New Paltz and is a visual arts major. The school has a really good reputation for this major.</p>
<p>i think kutztown is good for art education? i forget though. isnt purchase pretty good for VA as well? im not really sure, but these are things i think ive heard.</p>
<p>My cousin's daughter transferred from Montserrat after her freshman foundation year. Although she liked the program in general - she did not like the school's location in the suburbs of the northshore of Mass. Also she did not find there to be a great sense of community or a campus feeling to the school - the on campus housing was, for the most part, 2 familiy houses that the college had bought in the neighborhood surrounding the school.
She ultimately decided she wanted to be in the city and transferred to Massart where she is now a Senior.</p>
