What do you know about these schools?

Hotchkiss has an excellent humanities program, music program, and English/writing program.

I’m in the humanities and I love it! I don’t do any musical instrument, but the music wing is only a few years old and is absolutely stunning. The English department is also excellent.

milton and middlesex (yay mx!) are near boston, mx has everything except the swimming.

Fif, what about Deerfield ?? Personally I think it will be Hotchkiss VS Deerfield or Andover.

kafka,

DA is no where near Hotchkiss this year, not sure anyone is in all honesty. Exeter has a good back but he’s not nearly as good as Wilson. Andover has the usual plethora of PG’s (as many schools do) but Hotchkiss just has too many weapons. My prediction for Hotchkiss vs. DA is 42-7 (or thereabouts). However, as the saying goes “that’s why they play the game” and anything is possible.

fif thinks Hotchkiss willl beat Deerfield but not by that lopsided a score. Deerfield struggled to beat MNH, but after one game who knows how good the Hoggers are?

fif has rethought the matter, and does not think NEPSAC will match Hotchkiss (assuming they go undefeated and they should) against a team they’ve already beaten like A. Look for Hotchkiss to play also unbeaten (and loaded) BB&N.

You should consider Milton Academy :D

Milton has an AMAZING English program, social studies/history is really good as well. Basically, Milton has an extremely strong humanities program. Our speech team is awesome as well. ahahha. I sound like I’m recruiting for Milton xD

Milton is also super close to Boston.

As for swimming and cross country, I know they’re decent. Not sure HOW good/bad they are, but I know for a fact it’s decent.

Milton’s music program is quite strong too. Our dance program and choir groups are really amazing.
Orchestra & choir are going to Spain this year :D

Apparently Loomis Chaffee beat Hotchkiss this afternoon in football 14-11!!! Perhaps one of the most shocking results in recent years. Still waiting to see whether the result is revised to say it’s a JV result. Wow! Taft beat DA 20-14, still contend that neither team is going to be a power this year but you never know.

If this was a betting arena I would wager a million to one that Hotchkiss crushed Loomis. And I would have lost every cent. I am shocked as well.

fif will try to confirm this – Andover crushed Loomis last week. On the other hand Loomis has a new coach and started training earlier than the other schools indicating a renewed committing to football even if it bended the “rules” a little bit.

Just heard that Hotchkiss was without their top 2 running backs, best d-end and best lineman. Made a few silly mistakes and had 3 touchdowns called back on iffy calls including a QB sneak from the 1/2 yard line as time expired, a lot of people saw the quarterback cross the plane but not the refs! My guess is they bounce back in a big way this weekend against DA.

Way to go Taft! Taft football is now tied with their best season from the past four years. Plenty of time left with 6 more games to go.

FIF-
I predicted Hotchkiss 42, Deerfield 7. Actual Hotchkiss 35, Deerfield 14. So I was a bit off but I pretty sure my crystal ball is dialed in. Next up for the Bearcats is TP, I say… Hotchkiss 35 TP 14, history repeats itself. Not sure on other scores from today but even with one loss Hotchkiss looks like the team to beat.

Andover looks like the only thing standing in the way of a one loss season for Hotchkiss.
Incidentally, Salisbury brought Taft back to earth, beating them 49-30. Salisbury back rushed for 315 with five td’s and threw for one.
