<p>Touro in NY? It’s accredited by ASHA, and it’s a private university. </p>
<p>I would hope that your daughter is also looking at less expensive instate public, accredited masters programs. </p>
<p>It is known only regionally. Not a big name like Northwestern, or Purdue, or UIUC. But all that really matters in this field is that the course of study will lead to ASHA’s certificate of clinical competence, licensing in the state in which your daughter plans to work, and board of Ed certification in that state if she plans to work in the public schools.</p>
<p>Your daughter needs to ask those questions herself if she interviews…which I would suggest.</p>
