<p>I am planning on majoring in Mechanical Engineering and am considering several schools. Rather than write a thread that compares them all, which inevitably leads to many negative comments about one school or another, I am taking a different approach...</p>
<p>Please tell my why I should go to CMU for Mechanical Engineering. What are the "pros" that make this school the one I should pick over other very good choices?</p>
<p>Can you/parents afford the cost, which of course applies to any school. Many families have recently discovered that their investment in their home, second house, rental, is sinking their lives and future. Be sure that your investment in education, will not sink your future.</p>
<p>For the purposes of this discussion, let’s factor out cost as I cannot yet compare FA packages. In starting this thread, I am solely interested in the overall college experience.</p>
