<p>Trying to decided whether to keep it on my list or not. To be honest, I don't know a whole lot about the school, but my main qualms are that it's isolated from any "big" cities and its large population of students.</p>
<p>Please share your own experiences, thoughts, opinions, and anecdotes. :)</p>
<p>My sister goes there and hates just about everything lol. But the Alumni network/career service is GREEEEAT! She just finished junior year and already has so many internship oppurtunities and companies scouting her. Also, she loves the food. But besides that, she desperately wishes she took applying to colleges more seriously during her senior year.</p>
<p>try doing some forum searches because this has been discussed a lot before. it’s hard for me to say much because I love it here, and the large student body and lack of major city were both things I was looking for in a school when I was applying.</p>
<p>If you make it here it’s generally understood you’re hardcore in the academic sense.</p>
<p>The main thing I was looking for during my college search was “near a big city.” </p>
<p>I ended up here, and I am absolutely positive there could not have been a better fit for me.</p>
<p>I love how I have never <em>ONCE</em> been bored here, how beautiful the campus is, how many job opportunities have come from alumni here (only after attending a year), and really, just the people in general.</p>
<p>Hm, how are the class sizes in your experience?</p>
<p>I haven’t started yet (I’m an incoming freshman), but I was interested in Cornell because of the location, the academic flexibility it offers, and the academic rigor. It should be a great challenge for me, I’m looking forward to my classes and working hard (as odd as it might sound. lol)</p>
<p>I mean, a lot of your classes will be fairly large as a freshman-- it sucks but thats the way it is at pretty much any school of this size. Soph year on is different…I’d say most of my classes were about 30-50 kids, a few w/ 100 or so, but usually those had sections that were about 35 kids each. Even a large class can feel small though, if you sit in the front, talk to the professor at office hours, etc. No class should ever feel “too big” if you put a little effort into it.</p>

<p>I am incoming freshman and these are my class sizes according to the Student Center:</p>
<p>-Honors Chem - 110 students (20 in my lab)</p>
<p>-Evolutionary Biology- 280 students (but only 20 in the discussion groups)</p>
<p>-Writing Seminar- I think people said there are around 20 in these classes?</p>
<p>-Hebrew 1- only Nine students</p>

there are only 33 people in my Calc lecture and 16 in my Bio lab</p>
<p>You get amazing academics and even though you slave yourself over sometimes to get passable grades, you’re rewarded on the weekends with an amazing social life you never expected ;)</p>
