What do you like the most/the least about your university or college?

What would make it a better place for you? Is it as good as you thought it would be when you chose it?

I think it's a little bit early to really be deciding whether it's as good as expected...

I have one complaint with campus that I wasn't aware of when I chose the University. I chose my University for its program and didn't visit campus until Orientation. Anyway, the only complaint that I've got so far is the hills. The complex my residence hall is in sits in a massive hole. Anywhere I go on campus I have to climb what's called "Cardiac Hill" or up flights of stairs. That's after walking down 7 flights of stairs to get outside because my hall is all freshmen and a lot of them are idiots so they have shut down one of the two elevators.

Someone has to take the ugly ones

My college has been sooo much better than I thought it would be when I first decided to attend.

I love the people and the atmosphere in most of my classes. I love the spirit. I could do without the exhausting walks to class in the humidity, but that's the price of a spacious, beautiful campus.

I like everything about my University pretty much except its size sometimes.

While its size definitely contributes to what I like about it. There are so many different types of people and its very diverse, but sometimes its a ***** to get too classes. I only wonder whats gonna happen when winter comes.

Honestly, there is nothing good that can be said about McGill as institution. I just left class, because there was barely standing room. If you want to know what it is like to go to school in a 3rd world country, by all means, got to McGill!

I used to go to school in a 3rd world country....I bet the experience is much worse than McGill.

I hate Discussions, but it's understandable on why they are there.

Honestly, there are too many idiots asking stupid questions in some of my classes. Instead of moving on to new topics as planned, my instructors had to spend half of the time answering the same questions that have been asked before. Of course, I wouldn't mind if those questions mentioned were actually good and thoughtful. However, they were not.

What a waste of time listening to a bunch of crap everyday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just hope things will get better as I move away from general classes to more selective courses related to my major.

That's all, folks. Need to go to my dreadful class right now.

The administration doesn't give a crap about students and will find any way to get more money out of them.

Most: most people seem to be nice
Least: too many people, price gouging administration, boring, no campus.

wutangfinancial: I would watch your back in the streets outside McGill. My friend goes there and periodically has his groceries stolen by kids.

most: the atmosphere of the campus. Everyone is freidly, and kids always want to do things.

least: I live 3 hoursfrom the closest city (Knoxville TN) and about 6 hours from my home in Philadelphia

streets outside McGill? huh? I live in Point St. Charles, the poorest neighborhood in Montreal. Why would I care about some kids around McGill.

Most:
Trojan Football, being in LA!!!!!!!!

Like: Uber facilities/beautiful campus/great profs/good food/parties

Dislike: The only complaint I have about my college so far is that it has no AC in my room. The other dorms have it.

Lack of school spirit sports (synonymous?)

I love my school's beautiful campus and the choice of classes. I have a fantastic schedule this semester, and I've almost completely avoided those huge lectures. My largest course is probably 200 and my smallest is around 20. Most of my lecture-type courses have 50-60 people, which is actually alright if you sit closer to the front.

I don't like how a lot of the clubs are organized. The drinking age is 19 in BC, so a lot of freshman get excluded from cool events - it almost discourages you from getting involved right away. Now that I'm in my second year it should all be okay.

I also am really sick of residence food already, but considering I chose to live here again, I was kind of asking for it. It sucks, but I guess I'll be making my own food (limited to a microwave and toaster oven, however) and eating out more often.

Most: Location. Resources. Research University. Weather. That it's a well-rounded university --- not too nerdy but v. balanced between academics, sports, extracurriculars, etc.

Least: Bureaucracy. 300-person classes (sometimes it gets v. annoying).
