What do you like to wear?

Wow, Tyrone? Way to pick a stereotypical black name.

With each less article of clothing, I am more comfortable. I wish I could just walk around in my boxers/nude and some sandals all the time. Weather permitting of course.

Cap from DC Shoes (very expensive but I love how it looks). Nautica and Guess plaid/stripe button-ups. Varying inner shirts. Levi's/Gap/TH jeans or black Dickies shorts. Converse shoes. Kenneth Cole Reaction cologne.

I love Outlets; brand-name clothing for cheap! :D

I'm a total nerd and I admit it willingly!! But I like dressing up too. I wear colorful earrings, necklaces, and clothing. I love sandals and high heels. I buy sun dresses for fun, and tend to like to pretend that the 40 degree weather is summer. If I'm not wearing skirts/dresses, I always wear jeans. I refuse to wear clothes with name brands/words on them (I'll buy stuff from american eagle occasionally, just not ones with the brand plastered all over it). My style is essentially the opposite of goth/punk hot topic-like clothing. Oh, and I'm a penny pincher. I buy stuff at outlet or used clothing stores most often. I'd never buy jeans, shirts, or shoes for more than 20 bucks a pop.

polo with jeans
Or jeans with sweatshirt or some athletic shirt
Mainly in basketball clothing.
Sometimes i do get a lil preppy.

I suppose my clothes fit with the "indie kid" mold. I'm just about always found in tight-fitting jeans and slip-on shoes. For shirts, it's usually either a t-shirt from a show I've gone to or something plaid and button-down. On cold days I'll add a cardigan and/or scarf.

Stores-wise, I really like H&M in general, because it's simultaneously cheap, stylish, and non-cliche. I used to root through thrift stores, but I've stopped, partly because I'm too lazy and partly because I felt guilty for buying up all the "good" clothes from poor people who actually needed to be able to get them at these prices.

I generally buy relatively cheap stuff that lasts me about two years.

Babydoll tops, dark-wash jeans, ballet flats, club T-shirts, A-line skirts. Haha, I did buy something at Hot Topic once, but it was a pastel pink shirt with aquamarine hearts.

I love earrings and lipgloss. I'd love heels, too, but I can't walk in them.

I'm also an unabashed nerd.

long slim jackets, trenchcoats, boots, tights, hoods, etc. i think half of what i own comes from american apparel which is lame but i havent had any time and wont for a while

Wait...ok, here it is. I had to give myself a minte to recover from such blatant racism. That said...My style's a mix of teen vogue and geek chic. I guess a typical outfit for me would be wide led trouser jeans, my light blue tweed Nike Dunks, an argyle sweater, and a funky long necklace. And I wear my glasses proudly, but I promise, they're cool - purple clear plastic and titanium frames. They cost me a fortune, but hey, I wear 'em every day.

^
my post was racist? In what way, I'm really not intending to offend anyone...
I was just seeing what people in general were wearing, like if there was a pattern...

I think it was your not-so-subtle implication that black people are dumb :)

You may not have meant to be racist...but I think that's the most prevalent kind of racism these days - unkowingly having different expectations for different people (stereotyping). Then again, I guess you shouldn't have to tiptoe around all the time for fear of not being PC. Sorry if I overreacted.

Thanks, I actually started to panic, cause all the 'what it with the name' comments finally hit my brain.(I didn't understand what they were referring to...it was only a name...that is what everyone is referring to right???)
I actually intended to target people of all races...because...they're stupid people of all races ...:P
but I did not intend to imply that a certain race was stupid.
I apologize if i offended anyone, it was not my intention.
i am not racist, towards Blacks, Hispanics, Asian, Whites...the works...most of my school is black, a little more then a third...35%
the Asians and Hispanics compile up to about a little more then a third(Asians 20% and Hispanics 15%), leaving Caucasians with a little less then a third... just in case some of you were going to ask how 35% is the majority...

I'll be blunt. I hate "pseudo-gangster" dress. I hate oversized baggy tees and huge loose pants. I'm all for slim-fitted, sharp, clothing. Some bright & "preppy" clothing mixed with slightly more urban/edgier. Lots of j.crew, rl polo. I'm big on jeans; usually diesel or a pair of raw skinny jeans (nudie jeans). I have close to 10 pairs of flip flops all from j.crew. Jack purcells. Madras patchwork slip ons from sperry. White adidas superstars with black laces. Plain leather belts. Yellow & blue ribbon belts. Lots of hoodies, and jackets. A couple north face jackets (not the cliched denali fleece one though). Lots of slim solid plain tees as well as band tees. A couple button ups here and there. Sweaters come into play here and there with polos. Yellow and khaki chinos. I have a big mix

dresses !!! loove dresses. Jeans and cute tops/ T-shirts.

wovens, polos, occasionally tshirts. khakis, cargos, chinos. jack purcells, sperrys, shox, flipflops

i'm a t-shirt and jeans type of gal (at least when it comes to school)

EDIT: oh yeah! 600th post!

my style ranges from clothes at zumies to shirt at hollister. i usually like to wear i nice tee shirt with relaxed jeans..nothing to baggy, nothing to tight. my shoes? converse flats.

i wear baggy pants, a shirt, sometimes a long-sleeve underneath it, and a hoodie

I'm really into fashion, despite being a "nerd"
I tend to mix preppy/casual basics with unique/trendy pieces
I HATE ABERCROMBIE AND HOLLISTER. AE has some good basics, though.
Sometimes I don't care at all, but this is not usually the case
Hot Topic scares me
Ecko and Baby Phat disgust me

hmm. my outifts are eclectic. Theres always the regular jeans+cute printed tee or sweatshirt or whatev. I wear tights A LOT. I have black, purple, and blue. Lots of tunics/dresses/long cardigans with tights. I also wear tights underneath shorts a lot...great way to expand your wardrobe.
I wear my pearls a lot, with nearly everything, haha.
oh and skinny belts around the waist, too

I shop at H&M, F21, Target, AE, Delias, Nordstroms, Urban Outfitters, etc...

I don't understand how Chai's post is racist since right after he said 'Stacy' as an example.

Would it make you feel better if he replaced Tyrone with another white person name like Stacy, or would that be generalizing the White race? And how come you only choose to pick out Tyrone and not Stacy?

If it is an attack on Black people then it is an attack on White people too. Ridiculous...
