The question pretty much says it all. I plan on double majoring in Economics and International Relations bcoz I've heard they are the most % of majors who end up getting recruited.
What do you guys think? You know anyone who has worked in the UN or places like such? And if yes, what did they major in and what were their extracurriculars?
Thanks for your help!

I interned at the UN last year, a lot of the people I met/worked with had advanced degrees in IR/Econ/Politics, but in certain departments you’ll find people with advanced Science or Medical degrees, the UN is a very diverse place! More importantly, get experience. The UN generally doesn’t hire college grads with BA’s who worked in the library one summer. I mean it’s such a huge diverse place, it depends on what you’re going for, but since you seem to be interested in Econ/IR, I’d say maybe pursue an advanced degree and get some experience in the world of politics/econ/policy, maybe intern for a local, state, or federal government or official. Or intern at the UN yourself one summer (apply online), you’ll likely have to do an interview and possibly go to NY, not sure where you live but I live here and they required me to. You can PM me if you have a question about interning there.
