What do you NOT like about UC Santa Barbara?

So, I'm having a hard time deciding between UC Davis and UC Santa Barbara and would like to hear more about each school.
I have heard many positive statements of each school, but would like to know more of the negatives.
Of course, I have heard general statements about each school like how Santa Barbara is a party school, but I would like to hear more about UC Santa Barbara in more details/examples like about which profs, dorms, programs, departments, clubs, etc. you DON'T like and why.

There's not a single club I've seen on the long list of groups that I'm interested in. Other than that there isn't much I don't like about UCSB...

go to students review.com, should give you more answers

not enough asians?

The only thing I can really say is the isolated nature of Santa Barbara. If you look up Santa Barbara metro area on a map, there's nothing for 30 miles to the west, 15 miles to the east, and god know how much north, haha. So most students who live here spend 95% of their time within the Santa Barbara area, and some people occasionally miss the big city live or being able to get to another city easily. Also, it means your shopping is kind of limited to what's in the Santa Barbara area, unless you want to make the 45 mile drive to Ventura. I also wish there was more retail establishments within IV, because I think now it's kind of hard to live in IV without having a car. You pretty much need a car to make trips to the Camino Real Center and Fairview to get groceries and run errands. I posted a lot more about that here: ucsb: just fyi . . .

Yeah, I also second the no clubs that fit my interest and the distance that the school is from shopping centers/city life. But all of that is easy to get to via the convenient bus system.
I also do not like the fact that they do not guarantee housing to 2nd years.

yea i third the no clubs and i second the isolation part..SB is also the smallest of the UC campuses....and i heard A LOT of people didnt get housing for their second year =(..which is really bad since apartments around the UCSB area are really expensive...and i guess the patying is cool, but it gets annoying at times...especially when u have a big test to study for and everyone keeps pushing at you to go...
