[]Essay: About my love for, and history of, songwriting. Explains how I never practiced piano when I was much younger, gave up on lessons, but then, when I was 13, came upon a used, acoustic guitar. Transitions into a passionate retelling about how I've been writing songs, selling CDs, and performing in front of crowds ever since. Emphasizes creativity, independence, spontaneity, imaginative thinking, humor, and originality. And how these facets of my music making translate to facets that I embrace in my academics and extracurricular activities.
Overall, It has a very lighthearted tone and I throw in many tongue-in-cheek/self-deprecating jokes about the childhood appeal of Donkey Kong, my "musical genius" as a five-year-old, the crappiness of that first guitar, etc.
And in the additional info sections, I included a Guitar and Voice Performance Resume, which lists all the clubs and venues I've performed at - about 15 in total all in the Boston area.[/ul]

Since nobody else has posted I guess Ill just throw in something quick. You seem to be a good student for them to pick, diverse in many ways. So I would say you have a pretty good chance at admission.

I said you didn't have as fabulous a chance on the Caltech thread, but I'll say you have a shot on this one. Just because, I don't think Mudd is quite as obsessive about the scores as Caltech is, but I could be wrong. Still, I think higher standardized scores would have been ideal to get you in.

As rocketDA and others probably have stated many times, of course, getting in is overrated, and I'm not sure if I can tell that you'd be a good fit for Mudd based on these stats.

his "scores" are perfectly fine for either school, 2300 happens to be noticably over the average of both school's average. After that, his ECs seem fine and its just the random draw of being an asian male applying to a "tech school"

I guess what I mean is that I'm not seeing how into the idea of Mudd he really sounds...would this not be a factor? Not every good student is meant for the school.

Also, Caltech admits I noticed have quite high SAT II's.
