Most colleges send out large packets for acceptances and normal letters for deferrals/denials...I received a normal letter for my EA deferral. Would I receive a packet if I were to be accepted, or is it a letter similar to the deferrals/denials?

It’s a small letter-sized envelope. There’ll be a blue paper in the back if you got in.

Thanks for answering. Opening that envelope is gonna be one hell of a trip

@CAShopeful What do you mean by “a blue paper in the back?” Will you be able to see it through the outside of the envelope? I’m really hoping I’ll get my letter tomorrow since I only live half an hour away from Georgetown.

it’s small??!! AH I’m so nervous I’ve gotten rejected to so many places I’m crossing my fingers for Georgetown

If you’re accepted you will probably tell that the envelope is pretty thick, though wait list letters might have extra sheets too…

I don’t know because I didn’t get to open my letter xD

Waitlist envelope is pretty thick. I know cuz I just opened mine

@tommyguns Where do you guys live? I’m wondering if I’m gonna get the letter tomorrow (since USPS opens on saturdays as well). Have you received emails about admitted students day or some other stuff un-related to the admission from Georgetown so far? I heard some people for EA got those emails before they received a snail mail.

@DesperatePal I got my acceptance via email today (living overseas) and I didn’t get any emails leading up to it

@SummerAus Good to know. Thanks for the info.

Well I just got my acceptance letter and my paper was GREEN so idk maybessss it differs for other peeps

My paper was green as well which through me for a loop Hana.

@zoobanks @silazar where are you guys from??

Indiana

@hippos123 I’m from the amazing state of NJ so maybe b/c Gtown is aware of our status as the Garden State they sent green papers jk

@silazar Hopefully I will get a green paper, since I live in Green Mountain state. Could you see the green slip through the envelope before you opened it?

@DesperatePal I didn’t look cause I was freaking out spastically hahaaa but it was the first thing I saw when I opened the envelope so if you see green you’re in the clear good luck!

I got three normal letter-sized envelopes in the mail, as well as a stereotypical 10x15 “you’re-in” kind of envelope. I couldn’t see green through any of the envelopes, but sure enough, it was the first thing I saw when I opened the letter.
