What Do you recommend?

Hi. Right now im really having a hard time deciding what to do.
I'm going into my senior year right now
i've taken the sat 3 times
with a score of 2020, 1920, and 2070 last one being [650, 780, 640] english, math, writing respectively with a 7 on my essay.

with my sat II's
i have 800 on math ii
and 670 on biology E
right now i'm planning to take korean. i think i can get a 800 on it

but the dilemma is that my parents want me to take the SAT reasoning 1 more time.
but im not sur eif i can really improve my score..
i know i can improve my writing score a bit but i'm not sure. if its worth taking another time.

First off, welcome! I’m sure you will find this to be a most enjoyable place

Taking the SAT 3 times already is quite a bit, I would say, but others may disagree. What colleges do you have in mind? Have you looked at their 25-75 percentile scores?
You should be aware that most colleges look at the highest score in each section and add those three up for a “superscore.” Of course, an 800 in Korean would definitely be impressive. Most colleges that require SAT II’s will look at the top two scores, so the 670 on Bio wouldn’t hurt too much if you have a good Korean score. (Although there are a few schools that require three subjects. If you post which one’s you’re looking at, we can tell you their requirements.) Hope that helped, and enjoy CC!

well.
hopefully i will get a 800 haha.
for schools that i’m planning on applying to.
they are: UCLA, UC Berkley, UCSD, Stanford, Cornell, University of Washington.
so far.. those are teh one’s im looking at.

also the other scores..
i believe my first sat score was 780 math, 660 writing, and 580 reading
then the 2nd one all my scores dropped. 740 math. and 560 reading and something writing. those 2 my essay scores were 8. i’m really not sure how it dropped to 7 and why it’s staying that low either :(

I would say taking the SAT four times is too much…but if you really feel like you could significantly increase your score, then go for it.

only for UCs will 800 be good. privates dont really consider 800 impressive especially when native speakers take it and the average score is 757. getting an 800 will get you in 67th percentile.

so karinasagun are u suggesting that i get over 800? haha
i’m definately not a korean native speaker. i just know how to write read listen and speak it…close but not very.
i tried bio but… i guess i wasnt paying attention very well. besides the fact that we didnt cover a lot. 670 on SatII but a 2 on the AP. i was very dissappointed.

if you are not a native speaker DONT take it. some of my korean american friends who grew up speaking both korean and english and even attended korean school couldnt get 800s.

well
i’m not sure but even though i’m not a native i am getting either 100% or 1 wrong on the practice Korean SATII tests that i’ve been taking so yea…
i’m really not sure what to do with my reasoning though
my parents are really pushing it. and this last semester my grades dropped a bit more than i expected

I think your parents dont realize that the SATs are not everything to your life, you got the scores that are wowing me =D. I think what matters are how you would compose your entrance essay, GPA, and extra curricular activties. A fourth test is too risky and the administration may think your too obsessed aiming a better score when they see you did not improve on your other scores.

TAKE THE ACTs!!! It’s offered in some states in Sept, take it then!
