What do you regret? For those of you who already applied...

The title says it all; what do you regret including/not including in your application...

Personally, I regret not including that I'll be a constituent of a WASC visitation team...Sucks, especially because I can't do a darn thing about it.

Nothing. I quadruple checked before I submitted that everythig I wanted to be in there was in there. What happens, happens and is out of my hands. I don't plan on looking back at my application or essays becasue I know I'll just find something to regret, and it will drive me mad until April.

I made a few errors on my applications. I've been frantically sending e-mails informing school of them. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if it were held against me, so I'm almost expecting a few rejections.

Even if you're at a state of absolutely happiness when you've finished your essays, don't be careless when filling out the rest of the application like entering your scores, address, etc.

Do not procrastinate your essays, I probably wrote eleven half-assed essays right before New Years. Think about them starting junior year!!!!

Don't be obnoxious during your interview. Send thank you notes.

Have everything really organized for your guidance counselor so there will be NO PROBLEMS with receiving your transcript and everything

Read those admissions books like "On writing the college application" and "A is for admission," it really gives you a good perspective on the process

I regret not sending supplemental essays to a few schools. They all ran together in my head and it never really connected until after I sent them that I wasn't sending every essay to every school. I think they'll all get a slightly different picture of me. Hopefully it won't hurt my chances, but we'll see.

****, I never sent a thank you note to my interviewer...

It's been like a month now so he's probably already forgotten that I exist

Haha tapedDuck, I need to do that soon before I'm in the same boat as you.

How bad is it if the "interview thank you" was an email?

It's okay, but I sent some Hallmark E-cards if I didn't know their address

not bad, just that handwritten stands out is unexpected and memorable

No regrets, baby.

i wrote my essays on the 31st, i sent some supplements late, i didn't apply to a school that had already received my scores, i didn't include an "optional" essay or an essay explaining certain extenuating circumstances...

well i forgot to include my PSSA scores for MIT s****** but maybe i can includie it in the mid grade report

caught a few minor errors after applying. shoulda started earlier. and maybe could've organized activities attachment a little better.

ah, well. fingers crossed!

I never turned in my Swarthmore application... I just could not do anymore apps today. Now I'll never know. Kind of sucks.

forgot to mention that i was a finalist in florida swimming 3a state meet.. w/e

Someone want to convince me that Swarthmore sucks anyway?

Really badly wanted to do the box for CALTECH ....been my dream ever since
I heard about it ....and what do you know NO MORE BOX this year......

:)
