Hi, I am in my second semester at a community college right now. I am a female majoring in computer science and earned a 3.6 gpa in my first semester and plan on graduating in one and a half years with hopefully a 3.5-3.7 gpa. Lately, I've been reseraching colleges and am just so confused. What would be the best colleges to apply to that is within my reach?

Carnegie Mellon University? Depends on your SATs and essays but it definitely helps that you are female.

would i even have to submit my SAT scores bc when I do apply it would be over 1 and a half years since I last took them. I heard that if you transfer after you plan on getting your assocciates, SAT scores are not required?

That may be true because I do not know how CC transfers work. I still think you have a shot. Perhaps raise that GPA to a 3.8 if you can or maintain that 3.7 and you have a good shot.

Make sure you highlight how interested you are (get good recommendations from your computer science professors) and you will be fine.

thanks for the advice!
anyone else have any good college recommendations for me?

Many highly ranked schools "don't trust" the grading standards at community colleges. You will likely need to submit SAT scores to verify that you are able to handle the material at a highly competive college.
