<p>I am thinking of applying there, and would like to ask, is Hope College respected in the general community? Some people say that it's amazing - especially their focus on undergraduate research - but many people have never heard of it. Will it decrease my chances of getting a good job or good graduate school?</p>

<p>Outside of the circle that is interested in Chrisitian colleges, I don’t think it is widely known outside the state of Michigan. But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have an excellent science program or won’t offer you a great experience.</p>
<p>Some people know it from the Colleges that Change Lives books and the fact that it is in the Great Lakes compact. It is not as prestigious, but it appears that many people go to grad school, so I would dig a little deeper to see WHERE the grads attend.</p>
