What do you think about this?

Yeah, SO long story, but I sent in all my stuff for Georgetown - EXCEPT the application. I wasn't going to apply, whatever. Didn't notify them, I just forgot, figured they would see that my application was missing from my file and throw it out.

But they e-mailed me, in oh.... early February, I want to say? And they asked for part II of the application - the part I never sent in.

Is this a good sign? Or do you think it doesn't mean anything?

if u cudnt b bothered to even apply, then stop thinking about it, and leave a chance for the people who actually want to go.

Athough I do feel similarly to 000ace000, Its is brobably just a customary thing they do because they asked me for teacher recs that they lost. They probably want to give every kid the best possibility. Hope you get accepted… I mean if you want to;)

Yea, colleges do that. It’s always possible that you sent something in and then they lost it, so they want to make sure they have everything from everyone. Don’t read anything else into it.

Dude, don’t worry. It’s not like I’m getting in.

So RabbitHeart, what made you decide not to apply to Georgetown? (sounds like an interview question or something, unintentionally lol)

Nope, it definitely has no meaning to it…They just wanted to make sure THEY werent the ones who failed and are missing your part; they sent that e-mail to imply that they never received your part (implying that you need to resend it in case they messed up) I don’t know why I keep using the word imply :o

But, you get the meaning. It’s an insurance to an event where you keep complaining about them losing your application

It doesnt have meaning…I had a college do same to me and they flatly rejected me lol

Don’t read into these situations too much. Every year, there are people on various CC boards wondering if they’ve gotten a ‘sign’ of imminent acceptance but most schools don’t finalize their decisions until mid to late March when they go through committee.
