my dream school is cornell but my parents will not allow me to apply early decision... : (
im also applying to MIT, Harvard, UMich, MSU, UC Berkeley, and Oberlin.
Thank you so so much for giving me your opinion and possibly abating some of my fears. this is greatly appreciated. : )

You shouldn’t have too much of a problem getting into all the schools on your list except Harvard and MIT, provided your recommendations and essays are excellent. For MIT, your odds of being accepted will go up if you’re female.

thanks for that vote of confidence i am a female and i forgot to include:
volunteering at a hospital all summer
working at a hispanic outreach program
and more community service

Reach for the stars, sister!

What’s your anticipated major? MIT is a technical school underneath all the prestige; are you sure that that’s what you want?

i want to do biomedical engineering and become a doctor… otherwise if i go to a school with nutritional sciences (cornell) as a major, thats what i will do for my premed
