I know that Columbia is infamous for its intense, competitive academic scene.
At least that seems to be what everyone in college confidential is saying; that everyone does a LOT of ECs, activities, internships, and that they always talk about how much work they have, how stressed/depressed they are, etc.
It also seems like Columbia tends to foster a competitive environment more than a supportive one.
I have been dreaming about Columbia ever since, but I am not too sure if an environment full of depression and stress is a place I would be willing to spend my first four formative years of adulthood in.
Please, anyone, tell me that this is only a rumor and that Columbia is a place where students support and grow upon each other!
