What do you think I could get?

I am currently a Junior and I have a weighted GPA of 4.1 and unweighted GPA of 4.0. I take AP courses. I was Varsity football captain as starting quarterback. I have around 300 hours of community service, and I plan on getting an internship during the summer. I am also #1 in my class, so if I continue my path I'll graduate as valedictorian. I'm on the spanish club, academic team, and in the National Honor Society.

Now, I'm thinking of going to Rutgers (New Brunswick). Penn State, Fordham, and Pittsburgh are other schools I'm considering.

But, let's just pick Rutgers out of those for the moment..

With an solid SAT score (let's say around 1900 out of 2400, which is around a 28-29 on the ACT)...along with my other credentials...

Do you think I would get 1/2, 3/4, or full tuition?

can't say about financial aid, but in my honest opinion i think you should study for the SATs and aim for top 20.

your stats are amazing so far.. lock yourself in a room for a few weeks before the SAT and you can do a lot better than the colleges you mentioned.

that's just my opinion, so by all means follow your gut - you can probably get good merit aid at all the schools you listed. (yes that was useless input haha)

bump.................

bump...............

Well, my friend got full tuition with being #1 and reeeeally high SATs, (for RU), as did my other friend who was #4ish and slightly lower but equally amazing SATs (like 2200something)... it might come down to the SATs for you. So with decent SATs 1990 as you said, which is pretty high for RU, you should get atleast 3/4. Any chance at playing football? that'd pretty much do it (and mike teel could use a replacement...)

Like others said, work hard on the SAT's and you'll accomplish a lot. I don't really see how a 4.1 weighted can be a 4.0 unweighted, though (I've never heard of a school's maximum gpa being 4.1). Also, I really hate to be an ass, but being valedectorian with a 1900 means you must attend a really...school lol.

well, i just took 2 AP classes and received an A in each (ap classes weren't offered soph year, so these were my first two ap courses). i haven't gotten my report card back yet, so i'm not positive about my weighted gpa. I had a 4.0 prior to it, so idk what 2AP classes would elevate my gpa to. I just threw 4.1 out there. I'll take about another 4 AP classes (i have block scheduling) over my h/s career. So, assuming I get an A in all of those..I'm not really sure, but around a 4.3-4.4 weighted? No clue.

And my school is in its 3rd year in existance, w/ my class being the first 4-year graduating class. So, yeah, it's not too prestigious as of yet. When I graduate, my class will be around 300 kids, give or take.
