I am not talking about which degree will earn you the highest salary. Which degree do you think is most useful in all aspects of life. For example, I think the best major is English because even though there aren’t many jobs that an English degree is necessary for, it is a great help in writing and organizing thoughts in a clear way which is helpful no matter what job you take after college.

It’s one u enjoy, can excel in, and can earn u an adequate living.
For general intellectual utility in daily life regardless of job prospects specific to the major or course work, consider including the following along with any major you like and can do well in:
- Practice in writing and communication.
- Statistics and logic.
- Social studies subjects.
- Science subjects.
- Humanities subjects.
- Computer science (a course like http://cs10.org/fa15/ if you have no specific other need for CS)
If you’re talking “all aspects in life” then it’s probably Liberal Arts. That would give you the broadest exposure to ideas and material, and entry to the broadest range of jobs.
