What do you think is the best option for an almost middle aged woman in a CC?

My family is planning to move to the U.S. in a close future. We currently live with my father's retirement money but my mother is planning to work. She is even considering being a truck driver.

My mother finished high school. After that she made many attempts to attend college. First she was studying social media until she was followed and whacked in the head. Then she stopped studying and dropped college. Several years later she was a law student (in my country you do not need an academic major) but my sister failed several subjects and she had to pay around 200 dollars for each failed subject in my school for her. Since we are tight (economically) she couldn't afford this any more. and again, for different reasons she dropped college (even though she had a merit based scholarship) Now We've all realized she is really kind of old now (45) and she must conclude some kinds of study. The first thing I thought of was her getting some kind of certificate from a community college. At this age, and level, she is no longer planning to become rich or a millionaire, but planning to have enough to support our household until I finish school or early college.

What do you think is the best job for her that requires little or no education?

You mention in a previous post that your mother does not speak english which if true will limit her options. One thing you might do is scroll through the craigslist in your area and get a sense of what type of jobs and pay rate are in your area.

The other issue that should be considered is that there are jobs that may not pay a high salary but provide healthcare benefits which are important to have particularly as people age.

If her english is poor to none, then jobs such as house cleaners, or servers for events/parties, kitchen workers in restaurants, room cleaners in hotels are examples of jobs that do not require much english. Good luck.
