What do you think my chances are - OOS

Hi CC, I wanted a more “hollistic” reading of my chances for UC Berkeley/UCLA than the compiled thread would offer. Berkeley is my top choice and I applied to the College of NATURAL RESOURCES and declared an environmental science major. I believe that this college of Berkeley is the least selective. ALSO, I taked to the debate coach at Berkeley; he said that he could put me down as an applicant of interest.

To preface this:
I have already been accepted into Georgia Tech and into Umich. Other than that, I think my “stats” are weak, but my essays and EC’s are relatively good.

If you have time, chance me for the following as well:
U washington
CMU
Northwestern
Princeton

Here’s my stats:

Your ECs are impressive, and your stats are about average for UC Berkeley. I’m thinking Match/High-Match. Good luck!

You might get in but the more important question is: Can you afford the OOS fees? $55K per year is not cheap.

I got about 51k in aid per year at Michigan, do you think that Berkeley is better aid-wise or not so much?

OOS applicants receive litlle to no FA towards the $55K/year price tag at UCB. Michigan is a much better deal.

Are you speaking out of experience @Gumbymom
