i guess... but many schools said that they are need-blind as well as they do not look if you are citizen or not.... some schools obviously do... but...
strictly my resume alone... do you guys think i have a shot??

o yea.. forgot to say i have two family member currently in or graduated from cornell... and.... harvard has actually contacted me and like recruited me... if that means anything...

yea my ec is not CRAZY good i guess.. but i am banking on my congressional internship and the recommendation that i got from the congressman... also i tried to focus my ec on one topic... like govt poli and econ... thus debate, internship, NYLF on law... gov school...
PEOPLE please tell me my list of schools are not impossible list.... PLEASE...

I don't think any school says they don't look at if you're a citizen, even those that are need blind for internationals. You'll see that the top schools all keep their % of internationals constant.

If you need aid, even with your great stats it's going to be tough. An Asian international needing aid is probably the toughest admit at top schools.

I would add some schools between the ivies and Rutgers. Schools that don't attract as many intnls and as many Asians. Emory, Vandy and Carleton might be good.

i know that there are limited number of internationals they take in each schools... but i think my stats would be not ordinary stats for any internationals... i know there are many international students that have higher SAT scores and GPA but i think my EC would be something diff than other people.... has any of you been a congressional intern... and do you know if that helps alot??

and also... although i am in the internaitonal pool... i have indicated that my green card would come out very soon... does anyone know if this will help?

Since you said you were in the intl pool, you should know that intls always have some kinds of unique EC. Not as much for them taking extraordinary EC as for the kinds of EC available for them, which are different from nations to nations.
There is no certain way to tell which EC is more impressive.
The way I see it, adcom'd more likely to look at your EC while bearing in mind the kinds of EC available for you. They'll thereby see whether you've tried to seek out for more than what is available or just content with the ordinary.

I think for Internationals, they are seeking activities American students don't bring for diversity. Many Americans have been congressional interns, every prep school has a program.

You are in a weird space as a US resident yet deemed international. You don't really bring cultural diversity. I have to agree ivies are long shots. And everyone thinks their green card is in the mail. Maybe you should take a gap year and apply when you have it.
