what do you think my chances are... please help...

thx... anyone else?

hope you get into harvard, if they tried to recruit you, i think you have a good chance at all of those schools. good luck

To the first person that posted...you sound like your looking for people to congratulate you. With your scores and GPA, you obviously know you can get into top colleges--now, take a breath of fresh air, remember that life isn't all about acting like a pretentious snob, and get a freaking life. Are you being serious? I believe a simple "I did well on the SAT's-broke 1500," would have been adequate, rather than listing every single SAT and SAT II scores as if we are the admissions officers. In fact, the admissions officers at top schools use SAT scores and GPA as prerequisites, not automatic qualifiers--rather, they look to see that their applicants are well rounded, and that they actually enjoy living, rather than constantly working to make a spetacle out of themselves. Seriously, relax and stop trying so hard to impress. No matter where you go to college, you will have an amazing time--that is, as long as you take my advice. Trust me, NO ONE is impressed by high SAT scores-it is a humble personality and hard work ethic that will get you far in life.

how am i trying to sound pretentious... i don't really understand... am i wrong to post my scores in order for people to help me make a better decision??? if i just said i did pretty well... what does "well" mean.... "well" could mean 1300 to some people... 1400 to some people... and 1550 and above to some people.... am i wrong, people, to have listed the scores????? and thank you for the advices.... i got deferred from harvard by the way.... which sux... lol

some please help... feedback would be nice...

I was a Congressional page...it helps, but it's far from a guaranteed in. I also don't know about how colleges look at paging versus interning...pretty much, it'll help you but I wouldn't call it a "hook." It's just part of the big picture. So chill, you're going to get into quite a few of those schools. Good luck!

Intl competition is very hard; Harvard accepts less than 6% Rd and less than half that for intls. And everyone has "unique" ECs, yours really don't stand out at H and co. I'm guessing if your card comes in Feb or something you can call the Adm office and ask them to change your status, but asking for aid as an intl is very difficult. Harv, Princeton, Penn, Columbia are unlikely if you ask for aid, as they have plenty of intls w/ your stats. Schools in the NU, Chicago, range will give you a good shot at admission with cash, schools in the NYU range would give you a great shot at admission and cash. If applying w/o FA, then you have a decent chance at H and co.

thx karl marx... i applied without FA for all the schools cept H... and i am going to send a letter to H with my midterm report saying that i have "dis"applied for FA... and i am just wondering if after the FA deadline i apply for FA because my status changed to permanent resident they would give me FA... thank you people

poting your scores is completely fine.. Everyone on this thread does it... I don't know why that person blew up on you. However, it does annoy me when people say "Oh no, I only got a 1400 on the SAT"

thanks... anyone else with a comment? chance me PLEASE....

okay after this you should really stop asking for chances because a) youve already gotten a ton of responses and b) ppl telling you you're getting into harvard doesnt make the probability greater. you should just sit back and relax.
