Currently I'm a Community College student near Seattle, pretty much done with my 1st year and I've been taking courses that transfer into Unis like UW or WSU or other Washington Schools. I currently have a 3.55 GPA after having a pretty bad 2.9 in High School. What does the school look in Transfer students exactly? I would prefer to go to University at Seattle or nearby so going here would be great. Not putting all my cards on going here though being realistic...

What’s your major???

i transfered to the uw from a community college. for transfer students they look to see if you’ve been taking classes for your intended major. Also, if you’ve taken at least 40 credits at community college, they don’t really care what your hs gpa is. There are sooo many things they look at. you should really go to UW’s transfer thursday and checking out the transfer booklet that will give you all the details on what’s needed

and what if the community college does not have any classes that are related to the major that you are interested in?

If the community college does not offer the classes you need for ur intended major, you can take at UW after you successfully transfer. So did I. :)
