I'm applying to Pomona, Pitzer, Columbia, Brown, and Macalester. I've already been accepted to LMU and Saint Mary's of CA.
I have a 3.97 UW and a 33 ACT.
I've taken 3 AP classes in the past (APUSH, APChem, & APHumanGeo) and am in 3 more this year (APGovt, APBio, and APCalc AB).
I've done tennis & track for 4 years both (2 yrs varsity each) and am also the captain of my speech team, an editor of the school newspaper, and a leader in NHS. I'm heavily involved in my church, working as a counselor at their summer camp, and I do a lot of other volunteer work in the community too, including working weekly at the library over the summer and organizing a gift giving service for poorer people in my school district around the holidays. I worked over the summer as a chemistry tutor, but I plan to major in biology.
Don’t know what Macalester is. I got deferred from ED in Pomona with the same exact ACT and GPA, and that’s why I consider Pomona a reach for you. Each student is different, but I still had some unique ECs. RD is also much harder this year for Pomona due to the Forbes ranking, so it’s probably as selective as most of the Ivies this year. Best of luck. Chance me back?
