hey everyone, right now i'm a first year student at Mount Holyoke College and I really want to transfer to Wesleyan. I hear its easier to transfer in and the acceptance rate is about 30%. I'm also applying to Tufts.

I have great recs from my English teacher from last semester and one from my Spanish professor from last semester whose class I am also mentoring for this semester. Also got my personal rec from a family friend who is a writer. Have really great essays I think.

would someone please tell me what they think? I have no idea what my chances look like. thank you!!

I would go for it, and be optimistic! I think you have just as good a chance as anyone. College admissions is so screwed up and confusing nowadays that you have no real idea of your chances. But you seem to be a strong applicant. Good Luck in whatever happens, and always remember that if you do get a rejection letter, it is the college's loss, not yours.

Mount Holyoke is a great school. Why do you want to transfer out?

I think you have a very reasonable chance at both schools.

isn't mount holyoke the one that doesn't look at sat scores?

Yeah, Mt. Holyoke is definitely a great school but just isn't the best fit for me. I feel extremely isolated here and the all women environment isn't what I thought it would be. It's impossible to make male friends even with Amherst 15 minutes away. While I have no problem with lesbians (you cant really coming here), i feel like an outsider at my own school bc it is really catered to them in many ways.
and yeah, readytoleavehs, holyoke doesnt require you submit your SAT scores.
thanks for posting! :)
