I really enjoy interviews, and my essays and reccomendations should be pretty solid as well. What do you think?

I think your extracurriculars are certainly very impressive. Since you have the documented learning disability your tests should be fine too. But I'm just a prospective so I really don't know what I"m talking about haha

Your SAT scores being a little bit invalid makes it hard to know, but you look very competitive and I think you have a great chance!!

I'd try to find a way to organize your ECs better, though. You won't be able to put them on the Common App that way. I know it's hard when you do music.

I plan to be a philosophy major too (ethics or philosophy of mind) and I also sing (Sop II). Hopefully I'll see you at Wellesley, if I get in!!

PS You can chance me back on my thread, if you want ;) Hahah I'm a little anxious for replies.

Looks good--I'd echo what discoball said about the tests, I'm sure they'll take that into account. ECs are very impressive. I had a bit of the same problem with grouping them on the Common App that flying-pig is talking about...I'm a violinist, and I ended up putting my most significant music EC on its own and then grouped a bunch of other stuff together (sounds more disorganized that it actually is). Good luck!

P.S. Soprano I's for the win :)

Thanks so much, everyone! I'm applying EE, and am crossing my fingers!!!

Soprano IIs are the BEST. I'll sing from Sop. I to tenor if my chorus teacher needs it. :D It's pretty funny. Soprano II's the fav, though!

I really do need to find a better way to organize this stuff. Jeez.

What other schools are you applying to?

My chorus teacher has me sing Soprano 2 for pretty much the whole term so that everybody gets it and then switches me to Soprano 1 like a week before the concert. It's a fun time. :)

Right, well, the litany as of right now (pretty much finalized):

Wellesley, Middlebury, Bowdoin, Williams, Swarthmore, Bryn Mawr, Mt Holyoke, Colby,
Connecticut College, Smith, and UMass Amherst. That's in no particular order, since I'm well aware of the fact that I'm from Massachusetts and people like me are kind of a dime a dozen, so I'm not about to decide which ones are my absolute-can't-live-without favorites.

How about you?

Mine are similar, but a little crunchier:

Wellesley, Haverford, Wesleyan, Vassar, Oberlin are my top 5 by a lot.

My chorus teacher is constantly switching me to Soprano 1, which is what she claims I "truly am", but I really prefer Sop 2 because it's so much more interesting singing a middle part, I think --
I should stop now before I write an essay... hahah

I'm applying to Wellesley, Smith, Swarthmore, Mount Holyoke, Yale, Brown, Georgia State, and Agnes Scott.

Looks like we've got some schools in common! Cool beans, guys. :D
