<p>I'm currently a senior in high school and my a-g gpa was a 2.4 unfortunately, but whatever I have to accept the fact I have that gpa. I got a 1330 on my SAT which I took in March and I retook it two weeks ago so I'm still waiting for those scores to come. My highest composite ACT score was a 18, but I'm retaking it in December along with my SAT. Mainly for my SAT I'm aiming for a 1700 which I know I'm capable of getting if I study and for my ACT my goal is a 21. I know it's possible for me to get those scores, but in the meantime I was wondering what you think my chances would be of getting into:
CSU Fullerton
San Francisco State
San Diego State
CSU Monterrey Bay
CSU San Marcos
CSU San Bernardino (I know I'll get in since it's a local school)
Fresno State</p>
<p>Is your GPA, your CSU GPA? <a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>https://secure.csumentor.edu/planning/high_school/gpa_calculator.asp</a></p>
<p>SDSU: High Reach Average GPA 3.82
CSU Fullerton: Reach
SFSU: Low Reach
Fresno/CSU MB/CSU SM: High Match/Match
CSU SB: Match
The best way to check your chances is to google common dataset for each school. There will be a breakout of the GPA ranges/SAT and ACT range with % accepted in each range. </p>
<p>For example for SDSU, 0% applicants were accepted with a 2.4 GPA and around 5% with your SAT/ACT scores
GPA’s in the common dataset are reported as unweighted.

Same situation as I am in haha (stat wise anyways) i actually graduated in 2009. Uw GPA 2.6 and a 1300 out of 2400 SAT. Im trying to get into CSUF/CSUSM and will apply to a couple other non impacted CSU’S. Im retaking the SAT in Oct./Nov./Dec of this year. Im shooting for 1200-1400 out of 1600. Which will hopefully give me a shot at CSUF as I’m in their local area. And most likely will get me into CSUSM which i would be happy with as well. Otherwise I’m off to CC. Good luck to you man. @andreatheslug
Or woman* lol didn’t mean to assume
Your local campus and the non-impacted schools are your best shot.
With a 2.4 GPA, a CC may be a better route. You will probably have some remedial work to do (meaning more classes) and you’ve got some study habits to develop. It will also be less expensive
