The problem isn’t university-level education, it’s the culture selling people a “live your dream” philosophy where somehow going to college and getting a degree in “Peace Studies” is just as valuable as going to college and getting a degree in Engineering because of the personal growth.</p>

<p>People, even on this site, seem convinced that college is for “learning about yourself.” No, it’s not. It’s so you can earn a living and contribute to society. Don’t be a dolt.

You have a very limited life. Why waste great swathes of it doing things you don’t like?</p>
