What do you think of international students?

Being a foreigner myself (although I was raised here), I have no problems with internationals, they are cool, friendly people - I just really hate the wealthy ones that act like they're the ****.

Sort of like my roommate.. he used to talk aboug wearing Armani, and how he was gonna buy a 50k-150k worth car.. how he withdrew $1000 just for a trip to Cali.. was obnoxious as hell too, he would talk really loud on the phone in a language I couldn't understand, when I was sitting right next to him. He sort of irritated me b/c he got a bad gpa first semester and didn't really mind since his family owns like one of the biggest firms back in Pakistan, and he has a presidential position waiting for him whether he gets a 1.0 or a 4.0.
LMAO - I just remembered how he would always tell his GF back home that he was going to a party.. I don't think he ever went to one hahaha.. doesn't drink either and says he does on facebook.. I hate t00ls!!

Lol it could be jealousy, as I am upper middle class, but he was the only international I ever had problems with. Everyone else was pretty down to earth.

Honestly if anything, the only problem I have with internationals are that they only hang with other internationals. I mean I can understand how it's easy to just sit back with friends from the same place, but it's just a pet peeve when I see them only talking to other internationals, and ignoring anyone else. That's how it is here, anyways. I rarely see many internationals hanging with non internationals.

I really respect the internationals that take the initiative to meet people of another race though. I myself tried to meet as many internationals as I could, as they are fun people, and usually stereotype less than people that grew up here.

My school apparently has a lot of international students since we have a really popular English as a second language program. I think that's awesome. It brings a whole new dynamic to the campus and gives you a more interesting range of people to meet and get to know.

Howeverrr...when I shadowed a girl at my school last semester, there was this one group of international students who were constantly SCREAMING in the library. What the hell? The library is for studying. Not yelling in a foreign language...XD I wouldn't judge the rest of the international students based on that, though, since it was just a small portion of them.

I'm looking forward to meeting some people who grew up in other countries. It's always interesting to learn new things like that.
