So here is my freshman fall schedule:

Interpersonal Communication 220
Environmental Geology 120
Calculus 151
Intro to Global History 103
Psychology 105
Freshman Seminar 101

Easy? Hard? I hope to apply as sophomore transfer to a few schools (such as W&M and UNC) in the spring.

Comm is cake

geology is pretty simple if you pay attention. But my professor was an idiot so who knows. definatly the easiest of the sciences

Psychology is a social science so that = easy

global history will probably be your 2nd hardest class but if you study alot you should be fine

Calc could be trouble depending on how good you are at math and HS experience

frosh seminar is nothing

At least 3 As should be the goal here. get a strong start to your college life, the classes dont get easier

6 classes seems like a lot. How many credit hours is that? Here most classes are 3 hours and taking 6 classes (18 hours) is not allowed without special permission. I always do 4 classes, two M/W and two T/Th.

I’m in a special learning community, so I had to take a required 2 credit freshman seminar…so it kinda messed up my schedule because i knew i wanted to take the other 5 classes.

“Psychology is a social science so that = easy”

Now THAT is an overgeneralization. Some psych professors expect a lot of their students- far from easy.

Classes seem very easy… good to get GEs out of the way asap. Schedule seems fine.

I don’t know if your school runs on the quarter system or what, but 6 classes (18 hrs) is not that big of a deal. The average at my school and most schools that run on semester is 15 hrs. Needing “special permission” to take 18 hrs seems ludicrous to me as I’ve heard of people taking 20+ hour schedules (uncommon but it happens when you’re behind schedule). To answer the OP’s question, your schedule has more hours than the average freshman, but it’s definitely do-able. Apply yourself and you’ll be fine.

yea, i mean 6 classes isn’t that outrageous here…
