My essay:
My definition of is life is giving and receiving through fortunate and unfortunate events. My life has been defined by these unexpected events thereof, creating a unique passionate man towards others. My compassion is the striving force to give care for others, to give help when needed and to create honest and true friendships giving much happiness and gratitude in my life from these experiences. From my sympathetic tendencies, I seek the power to bring positivity to my life and to those around me. That power starts with an education in engineering that will create a platform for me to help others in ways that no other has.
My father has worked most of his life, growing up in poverty but shaping his life into one of respect and prosperity. He has given me countless opportunities to further my studies and my experiences of the world, for the reason to achieve my goals and setting my path to pave way for my future. Becoming an engineer, more specifically a robotics engineer, will help with his health from working long strenuous hours. He clocks in over 15 hours a day and neither complains nor gives up, no matter the stress or sleep deprivation he is suffering from. With my skills that I intend to seek out, I will give back his health that he truly deserves by creating a machine that helps greatly with his laborious life. My passion for robots and the education I intend to receive for it has me hoping to increase the longevity of his life. My desire to give out help for those in need can create an impact that will change one’s life for the better.
I’m aspired to give everyone an opportunity of knowledge. I take great enjoyment of teaching others and helping them understand complex and puzzling concepts. This has given me friends that have been true to me and my intentions, friends that push me to further my education. It satisfies my interests that I’m able to give someone a part of my understanding, and also to help them with their future. At my school, I’m the person people go to when they don’t understand math or science. I will patiently stand there and help them through it, no matter the time it takes for them to understand the concept. I do it out of my sympathy of wanting to help them and I take no fortune from teaching others but only take the satisfaction of their appreciation. Engineering will give me these skills of patience and higher understanding of concepts to create a better future for the next generation for I will have the ability to create a change of necessity through my inventions to further medical advances and also to enhance the world’s understanding of one another.
Similarly I strive to improve a self that I can be proud of and others can respect to. I desire to be an individual of high regard, one that has been shown to me through my life from others. My aspiration to be a man who is inspiring, influential, and hardworking will be my gift from my enriching education. An education of high regard would be beneficial but more importantly an education that will let me help others, whether it be for knowledge or health.
I have much to be gracious for of my family and friends that I’m surrounded by. I will give back to them through my accomplishments I will have receive from engineering but also the satisfaction that they will help forge a caring man and inspire me to always take my education to the next level. The young boy I am today is what they have made and the man I will be is what I hope to repay them with.

its more “telling” than “showing”, if you know what I mean. I love some anecdotes, once in a while, adds a deeper look into your life.
