what do you think of the college of new jersey (tcnj) and seton hall?
tcnj is not easy to get into, even instate, and may give me some scholarship money, plus its cheap to begin with (compared to privates). on the other hand, some professors recommended rutgers over tcnj. are seton hall and tcnj comparable to top liberal arts colleges in terms of professor-student interaction, academic quality, and likelihood of getting into top grad schools afterwards?
also, in nj, people think of seton hall law as such an amazing thing and i've also heard (again from nj people) that their school of diplomacy is really great. how great is seton hall for real, especially for undergrads?
my main areas of academic interest are political science, french, english, and other language studies. both of these schools would be safety for me, and i don't know anyone who went to either of them in the past ten years. i know one person who went to shu law and is doing well, but he went to night school.
thanks in advance for the advice.

I love TCNJ. It is a safety for me too but I love that I have absolutely no problem with my safety school.

I know many people going there and they love it. People in my school compare it with UVA and outside of school I have always heard it in context of great LAC's. However, I haven't heard as many great things about Seton Hall's undergrad program.

I am applying to both schools (I also live in NJ). I have heard great things about TCNJ, it being a good school at a good price and all. Seton Hall, I am not sure. I know that it is a Division I school, and that the diplomacy school has special ties with the UN. You and I are on the same boat my friend.
