What do you think of the foundation of a World Peace Club at my high school?

I would like to found a Peace/World Peace Club at my high school. We would be dealing with things like global activism, environmental awareness, sustainability, solutions for current and future global problems like world hunger, poverty, war, violence, etc., the underlying roots of these problems and so much more. We might look a bit into meditation and self exploration/discovery and I would like it to be a club where moral support to our peers would always be offered and available, a place where teens can seek refuge. Kind of like a sanctuary. The club would surround volunteering and selfless services to humanity.

What do you think? Is it a good or bad idea? And if you think it's a good idea, what kinds of projects/goals/fundraisers do you recommend?

I'm currently a Sophomore in high school, about to become a Junior. This club wouldn't operate until my Junior year, but I would like to have the details ironed out, a list of officers, a sponsor and the school's official approval by the end of this year.
