What do you think of the name Cissy ?

You know when the application process was in full gear I heard everyone talking about being themselves to get accepted. Now that Andover has accepted Francis I'm thinking Cissy would be a more appealing name. I want to create a new softer image.Changing my name just seems right at this time in my life.

I honestly can't tell if you're serious or if you're making fun of Olivia. Using the smilies would be a helpful indicator.

Come on. I really need some help with the important issue at hand:creating a new image before september 9th.Olivia just gave me the idea. Thanks Livy (it's a cool preppy name)

oh god here we go again.

In all honesty to me, Cissy, sounds like or is exactly pronounced like Sissy, and i just can't picture calling somebody sissy all the time. To me it kind of sounds mean, even if you arn't trying to make it that way.

Exactly. Sissy would be the pronunciation. Mean? I think it would create a more approachable persona.I don't want to have a mean sounding name...Oh do think it is mean to steal Livy's idea? I give her full credit.

how about Franny?

Nice idea. However, makes me think of Fran Drescher. I thought of Ouisy but being named after Kid Dynomite's mother seems wierd.

how bout ciso, from franCISOuiment...and maybe it can be pronounced both ciso and shizzle?

Bear, I like that very much.Would my roomies call me crisco? I knew I could count on you. Fo shipple Penn ipple.

ha when I saw this post it reminded me of Narcissa Malfoy who was referred to as "Cissy" by her family members. ok sorry harry potter moment

"Cissy" is better than "Fran" or "Franny", though. Fran just sounds so old-womanly.

There you go, Francis - your new nickname can be Narcissy!

I love it , but Narcissy is too hard to say and seems long.keep the great ideas coming . I just seem stuck on Cissy or Cisco.

fr"ANCI"s? Prounounced antsy?

Nice...did you check out my book selection.

Just did. The topic's a little too narrow for me, though. I prefer broad overviews.

What about Crisco?

How about Franshizzle? Franizzle? Cisizzle? Ciscolicious?

:D

I personally like the last one. Lots of character, difficult to pronounce. Just like my last name. :D

Omg, tennisgirl, you read Harry Potter too? I'm obsessed. HARRY POTTER MOMENT!!

Agh, I started a trend. ;) Yeah.. I like Cissy... I actually prefer it with a C rather than with an S.. there are too many 's' in Sissy. Maybe just Cis?

Good idea but calling somebody Cis, is like saying they are your sister, as in Sis. I can only imagine saying "Hey Cis" and having somebody say, "your her sister?"
