What do you think of THIS AP Courseload??

For next year:
Biology
Calculus BC
Statistics
US Government
Spanish
Economics
Literature

Doable?
i took calc ab, physics, psychology, and us history this year. aside from physics and that calc fr part, i thought i did pretty well.

sounds good. shouldnt be too hard to study for. good luck

how many classes total can you take?

identical to mine except that i'm not taking spanish. I think that courseload is very doable as long as you don't slack off. Good luck!

wow sounds like a crapload of work, at least it owuld be in my school (Bio and English give the most work)

government, stat, economics and bio are joke classes. but w/e the courseload should help u challenge yourself and get ready for college rigor. but by no means will it increase chances of getting into a college. (ppl who take only 4 APs get into top schools....as long as they take honors/other advanced classes)

A bit excessive in my opinion...

It can be done, but don't expect to have a lot of free-time.

At most schools, you can expect an hour per night of homework for each AP class, give or take a little. Then of course you have to study for your classes.

If you take 7 AP classes, you should get about 5-7 hours of homework every night. You have to study for each class at the same time.

I don't know about you, but that wouldn't personally leave me alot of free time. :D

Last year, I was given about 2 hours of homework per night from APUSH and about 1.5 hours of homework from AP US Govt, and those weren't my only classes.

Biology Heard this class was a joke
Calculus BC Calculus is simple in my opinion
Statistics Heard it was easy or hard depending on who you are
US Government Simple
Spanish ???
Economics Joke
Literature Semi-Hard

Homework might be hard depending on if you do it or not, I didn't do any work and pulled good enough.

Veeeery biased group to be asking. :) All Ivy-League bound overachievers.

But I'll have to agree, lol. Doable, very much so.

that is pretty doable...dont worry. I know tons of people who had that schedule or similar and they're fine.

looks good

Dude, drop a few of 'em and self study...I did 4/4 (4 in school 4 outta school) and I did perfectly fine on my APs...Bio, Stat, and Government are all easy self studies.

well i guess it depends on how quickly i learn the stuff....last yr with 4 aps the hw wasn't too bad and it was just a lot of time studying on my own. that's the thing i like about APs ( at my school at least) is that teachers don't assign a bunch of busywork...there really wasn't that much hw compared to regular classes but the tests were a lot harder.

the 3 i'm semi-worried about are calc bc, lit, and spanish. is calc bc easy to self study? i thought ab was pretty easy...our calc bc teacher doesn't teach though.

if you took ab, then bc shouldn't be a problem at all, we just take one or the other at my school

gov is the easiest and best to self-study, especially because most gov teachers give lots of busy work
