what do you think of this essay topic?

well im thinking about writing something from personal experience and how it impacted my life.
Stealing. i've done stealing in the past and i feel really bad after doing it, and how it impacted my life thruout the yrs.
is this gona ruin my chances because colleges are gona think im a stealer ,bad kid or w/e?

i just wanna write something truthful...

It really depends: you are writing about a topic kinda in the "controversial" area. Some pull it off, some don't, but if you really have been impacted by it, and can write genuinely about it, then really, I would go for it.

It really depends on the severity. I hope to god you didn't rob a bank or something. Jk.

haha.thanks.
anymore?

Yeah, if the whole experience has taught you something and you think you can convey that through writing, go for it.

What kind of stealing are we talking about? And how old were you at the time? The topic is a bit risky---personally, I would avoid unless you're certain you can write about it well.

yea i think this is a bit risky -- personally i'm not a big risk taker so i might shy away from the topic but if you're feeling it then go for it

I would write it first, see how it comes out, get other's feedback, and then decide... I think it'd either be really good or really bad.

I wouldn't recommend it-don't

i was like 12, stealing some toys.hahaha

Again if you can write really genuinely about how you learned from it and how it has affected your growth, go for it. If it's really changed you and etc you would probably want to write it.

Nah. If it's just some toys, it's not worth writing about it. Unless it really impacted your life (like juvie style), there's no need to write about it... Eh.

mm ok i'll look for something else then.
