I have only had a C once in my IB years (and that was HL English).

I am really confused on which school to choose for ED. I really want to do my BSE at Wharton, however it is an extremely selective school. I have a better chance of getting into NYU rather than Wharton.

So should I ED Wharton or Stern? Both are good schools, but NYU has no actual campus.

I have had A’s in maths and economics for both years, just btw

Sorry forgot to mention these: (EC’s)

Picnic in the park (school event)
Golf
Backstage crew
Business club
Habitat for Humanity (Kenya - yes I went there)
MSF
Prom Committee
Rugby club
Softball team
Comedy drama play
and a lot more other stuff…

In total, I have about 150 hours of action, creativity and service hours from EC’s.
I think that’s good enough.

With a 1900 SAT and 3.1 GPA, chances at either aren’t great. Plus, your extracurriculars don’t seem too focused. I think you should use whatever advantage ED may give you at Stern. Wharton is going to be pretty difficult, even if you apply early. Be warned however, that NYU is somewhat notorious for poor financial aid packages.

Not trying to deter you or anything like that but is cost a factor? If it is, then NYU might not be such a good place to ED as NYU is ntotrious for being down-right horrible with financial aid. They are infamous for that and a whole lot of NYU students are left with huge debts at the end of their four years. So unless your willing to fork over US$50,000 per year for four years you might want to hold off on ED so as to compare financial aid package. On the bright side it is in the heart of NYC and things like internships shouldn’t be too hard to find. Also, one thing about NYU is that it doesn’t have a campus so to speak and you are suerged into the city, this kind of college experience may be for you, or not, I don’t know. You should take all of these into consideration when deciding where to apply ED.

I’m applying for wharton/stern as well. When the Penn dean came down to my school campus, she said that it would be tough for someone taking IB SL math to get into business courses (Lucky i take HL) unless they had very strong math qualifications… Have you checked course requirements?
