Sparky, I was just wondering your rationale for predicting acceptance into Harvard and Columbia.

Laguna, would you go to USC, Cornell or Berk if accepted into all three?

Depends on the Financial situation, so if i get like no aid then berkeley

All things equal, then what?

dear sir, i have good grades, and i work hard; much higher than average. i dont know, my gut is saying that i'll be accepted.

I might not be accepted to BOTH harvard and columbia, but im sure i'll be accepted to one. my parents and my friends think so too.

Putnam honorable mention is quite impressive. I don't even bother with taking it, just too hard for me =(

thanks laguna,
what are my chances do you think?

sparky - it's good you are optimistic but you may also want to check the decisions threads for harvard and columbia last year and the year before to see what quality of applicants were rejected. it is a very challenging task so just always be prepared for a rejection.

Personally i'm scared. I'm applying to USC and dont even have a college gpa yet. i'm not doing too hot in my math class but i'm hoping that i will get a presentable grade. Like, i havent a clue about my grades in my classes. finals are a week away. like, i want to vent by screaming off the top of my lungs but instead just play video games to pass the time and become lethargic.

this is what im guessing my grades are...

anthro: A+
English: A
Math: C or B?
French B or A?
History: B?

I need a christmas miracle!

Yeah ever since I got the Wii I have taken a lot of time out of studying and playing the Wii instead, now i hope i dont get screwed over on finals week

i will be applying as a sophomore (i am a freshman this year)...does this matter?

sparky - no, your HS GPA doesn't matter. also, your prereq status should help you bc you wont look too desperate to adcoms. good luck!!!
