What do you think you will get? Compare your predictions to your actual result!!

No self-confidence anymore…it seems thy everyone here can get over 2200

CC has a weird way of making you think that anything less than 2390 is inadequate. Thankfully though, CC is most definitively not representative of the real world.

Preduction:

Critical Reading: 710
Mathematics: 800
Writing: 750

Composite: 2260

@tim: Most/all of the ppl unhappy with 2300-2390 are aiming for schools that have acceptance rates under 10%. It’s all about your standards.

Or they’re aiming for full rides at Public Universities like me…

Either way, they have high standards that I think most people don’t think about. Before assessing someone’s reaction to an SAT score (for example) they should understand why that person needs that score. However, ppl who think that there is a difference between 2390 and 2400 are crazy.

There is a difference . . . a difference of 10 points. :P

I wonder why CC has such a high ratio of ridiculously smart students… is it just that the people on here care more?

CC is a forum dedicated to college admissions. Let me repeat that: CC is a forum dedicated to college admissions. Your average teenager doesn’t care enough about college to be on a forum that is dedicated to it. So the kids that are active in this forum tend to really, really care about college and academics in general. Hence the insane standardized test scores and grades.

so i pretty much answered my own question when i said “the people on here care more”

My prediction was way off… Retaking seems to be the only option…

My prediction was quite off. My CR was about 60 points lower, my M about 30 points lower and my W about 30 points higher.

My Math and Writing predictions were almost spot on (predicted 800 for both, got 800 M and 790 W). CR, however… lol. I predicted 770 but got a 700 :/

I didn’t post my prediction…I definitely wanted a 2400 and based on the consolidated answers I found that it was fully possible, but leaving room for mistakes and imperfect memory I didn’t let myself think it was likely. I thought 780~800 for CR, wasn’t sure for Math at all (mostly because I couldn’t remember the answers, and also because I’m very prone to making mistakes that I am unaware of), and thought 780~800 for Writing. I felt good about the MCQs, but the SAT 25 min. essay is a weak point of mine, and that is a big influence on your score (and I was right-I just barely got an 800 for that section, but good bye essay! i’m done with you forever).

My superscore (2370) is actually 40 points above my hopeful prediction…yay for having no confidence when I write. XD

My prediction was a 2340…got a 2370 :]

The CR curve was a little harsh - normally it’s -3=800, but this time a -2=790 :/

(predicted) = 2040
740 Math
580 CR
720 W

Low end = 1940
710 M
550CR
680W

high end = 2150
760 M
640 CR
750 W

Real thing: 2030, almost spot on!
740M
700W
590CR

I feel okay, I’m a soph afterall…

its called sarcasm and it’s really funny.

Predicted:
W: 720
CR: 650
M: 680 (4 omitted, 2 wrong ??)

Total: 2050

Actual:
W: 750
CR: 650
M: 690

Total: 2090

I did not have prediction because I did not remember my answers. one thing though - my real scores are almost exactly the same with my bb sample test scores. that’s amazing.
