To a certain point we all can guess whether or not we're going to get in.

I think my chances of getting in are 3%. (Remember that this year's acceptance rate will be about 7%).

Idk, I’d give myself a 15%… because I’m a Native American mainly.

mine is 5%, i think if everything goes well.

I’ll go with 10%: a little bit higher to account for joke/on-a-whim applicants.

^^ and that’s because im hispanic, and my counselor told me i would get recruited…idk, im starting to think he lied cuz i havent heard anything from H yet

All I got was a letter early in the year from their Minority Recruitment Department. Is that a good thing?

I got that too, wouldn’t count on it too much and I’m pakistani. But if you are an under-repped minority (aka Hispanic, African American, or Native American), your chances are greatly boosted

I’d say 10-15% at the most for me; i have the grades and test scores, but so do so many others; my additional rec from a harvard alum may help by like 0.5% and my music stuff could help out a little, but I’m not expecting anything extraordinary to happen.

legacy (40%) + research at Harvard SEAS + new england feeder = I’m guessing around 64%

^ Jealous …

Native American. :)

^ Jealous :P

And by feeder I mean 1 kid/year lol so not much

0%. Didn’t apply. Thug life.

Chance = irrelevant.

true. dat. lolcats4

Probably 10%. I have lower SAT scores than most of you, but they are within Harvard’s range. 3% accounts for all joke applicants. At my school 3/5 applicants are complete jokes with 0 chance (1800 SATs, out of the top 10% of class, no hooks)

Well if you guys think 3% is for joke applicants, then I’ll give myself a 10% chance.

i’ll give myself 25% considering legacy, within-range scores, loads of ec’s, and of course, the most important thing when it comes to the admissions process:

super cum load.

even a “99.9999%”-chance has two 100% outcomes …

since 0.999… (with the 9’s repeating infinitely or a bar drawn over the 9 in 0.9) equals 1, it’s more like 99.999999…%=100%
