<p>4.08 and a 1470 (760 v, 710 m), 790 on chem and us history, 660 on IIC (annoyed about that one), 32 ACT, 226 PSAT index (80 on math i might add), national merit semifinalist, top 5% of class (no individual rank), 5s on US history and chemistry ap (only 3 aps offered to juniors)</p>

NHS, Cum Laude Society, Mu Alpha Theta math honor soceity, National Spanish Honor Society, participated in several math, chemistry, and spanish competitions
Varsity baseball for 4 years, my main extracurricular as we start training first week of school along the lines of 15-25 hours a week</p>

<p>don't know how much it matters but won 3rd in state science fair in 8th grade for chemistry division (i plan to major in chem)</p>

<p>Nonsense, happypoo. UVa, W&M, and UNC out-of-state are about as hard to get into as Ivies and other top schools. </p>

<p>UVa, W&M, Duke, and UNC are reaches, although Duke's not as big a reach.
Emory, Rice, and WUStL are matches.
UF is a safety.
I'm not sure about Tulane, but I'd say it's probably a safety/match. </p>

<p>You also might want to consider Davidson, Furman, Vanderbilt, and Wake Forest.</p>

<p>I visited davidson, too small for my tastes, it felt a lot like my high school. Also saw Wake Forest and I liked it but my laziness is preventing me from writing all the essays they require for a school that's my #3 choice in the state of north carolina.</p>
