ey. do you guys think i have a chance of getting into cal poly slo as i biology major. to my understanding, biology is not one of their more popular majors.
i have a 3.1 unweighted gpa 9-11 which i realize is low and is my primary concern.
i got a 2300 on my SAT and a 34 on my ACT. I was discussing admissions with some cal poly student ambassadors and they mentioned that given i go to lynbrook high school, which is one of the best in the nation, cal poly does recognize the level of difficulty.

I would appreciate any answers and will not take offense to any criticsm (i know my grades arent great)

i have been involved in key club which is a community service club for four years, involved in premed club, played highschool football and track, i tutor kids often, and i volunteer at my churches sunday school for 3 hours every sunday. i also have an internship at a hospital this summer. heavily involved in homecoming and rallies for my school (idk if that counts. im also in DECA which is a business club similar to FBLA.

idk if thats good or not, but apparently csu’s take work experience and curricular into account heavily
