What do you think?

Asian, bilingual (Chinese, English)

-NYU

**I'm applying for their Schools of Engineering (Chance at that as well?)

Also do you think because I'm applying for Engineering, my ACT only hurts me; the science being so low? I took another ACT where I scored a 29 on science but all my other scores dropped, reading=30, writing=27and math stayed the same.

So should I just send in my SAT scores and not the ACTs? Or do you think the ACT compensates for my low reading score. (Keeping acceptance into Engineering in mind)

Any thoughts are appreciated

You should be good to go for almost your whole list. UCB/UCLA (esp. if out of state) will be the tougher ones.

I think you will get into all of them, except for perhaps Berkeley and UCLA, especially if you are out of state, because they don’t take too many out of staters. In fact, I would apply to a few more “reaches”.

Bump…

bump!!!

bump #3… come on guys… anymore input?

blahhhhhhhhh

bump…

GPA is good, SAT is decent, obviosly DONT send ACT ! Science is more important than reading for you ! If it bothers you so much, give the SAT again ! EC’s are ok, just try and get one directly related to engineering maybe? Other than that you have as good a chance as anyone,
Chance me back please ! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1232020-chance-international-student-top-colleges.html

thanks
But I hear colleges don’t really care as much about the science because they know it does not really represent a person’s scientific skills
