What do you think?

I'm about to become a senior in a few months, so I just wanted some opinions. With what I have listed below, CHANCE ME.

State GPA:4.33
District GPA: 4.17
Rank: 20 out of 1107
All Honors/AP courses
Three AP's so far, though it will be about 7-8 by the time I graduate.

Score: AP Euro-4

SAT: 1800 (will retake)
SAT II: US History-720
First Generation, Single Mother, African

I've been playing the violin since the fourth grade. Because of this, I had an opportunity to go to London, make speeches in front of many important people (in London and in CA), and I now have a deal to write an article for a magazine.

I'm also a tutor at my school's writing center (basically, I help kids out with their writing).

I'm a journalist for my school's newspaper, and will be Editor in Chief for my Senior Year.

I've volunteered for a few years in my community and with younger violin students.

I was also an intern at LAPhil for a short amount of time; I'm working now during the summer through a non-profit organization that provides free music lessons to underprivileged children.

I know this isn't much compared to other people, but with what I have and with what I hope to accomplish, what universities would be understandable for me to apply to? I'm thinking of some liberal arts colleges, like Reed, Wesleyan, and Bowdoin, as well as some universities near by, like UCLA or UCB, and even more competitive schools, like Brown, Northwestern, and Cornell. Do I have a chance at any of these schools?

the only problem i see is your sat score, im sure you can get that up and if you do have a decent chance at the uc’s at least. i dont know about the others

Bowdoin is your best bet, among “reach-for-anyone” schools.

Aim for 31+/2100+ for best chance.
