what do you think?

i am a sophomore and attending a community college in illinois. i was planning to transfer right after i get my associate's degree but have no clue if i stand a chance to apply to umiami. i need your honest opinion on this because im completely clueless of the way umiami selects admitted applicants. here's my stats:
gpa-3.90
extra curricular-phi theta kappa honors society member and president o service department, lots of community service, tennis varsity and national champions, disabilities tutor
as for the rest of the application requirements, i don't think i'll screw up my essay and recommendation letters (if they require it).
so... what do you think?

You're in. The mean transfer GPA is 3.4 according to the website.

Yeah, shouldn't be a problem, I'll tell my S to look for you.... :-)

yey! looks like it's going to be miami for me.

Hope you don't mind a little imput.....Do yourself a little favor. Contact one of the admissions reps down at the U and talk to them about what will and what won't transfer. Several of son's Illinois community college credits did not transfer. (GPA 4.0...but earned through HS dual enrollment, so that may have been the problem). But, it's better to be safe than sorry. I'm sure you will enjoy your time in Miami! Good luck!

Yeah, 2 of S's courses in dual enrollment transferred so far, but nothing on the other 4 which is probably a bad sign, LOL.
