Will have taken 7 AP courses with high Bs or As in all. What sucks is that this year (senior) I have As in all my APs cause I am taking 2 math APs, my best subject, so it wont reflect at all to colleges. Also, took the AP Bio test without taking the class and got a 3 on it...if that makes any difference.

I will apply to the H&SS school and CIT. My intended major in H&SS is statistics and at CIT it is undecided. Please let me know my chances at each. would I get in?

Your SAT Math score is on the low side for CIT (probably bottom 25 %) and your GPA is slightly below average (3.67). I'd say it should be easy to get into H&SS with your stats, but admission to CIT may be tougher. BTW, congratulations on choosing CMU to study Statistics. If you get in, you'll have the opportunity to learn from some of world's leading researchers in the field, especially in Bayesian statistics.

So I can get into H&SS for stats?

no replies or opinions?

I'm not sure why you think anyone on this board would know whether you would get in or not. And if someone did answer, I don't think you should give much credence to what they say. I'm an alumna of CMU, and I participate in college fairs and interview for them, and I don't know who will get admitted or not.

If you like the school and feel it's a good fit, then apply. You can look at the stats for the various schools within CMU on their website to see how you match up with last year's admitted class.
Good luck.

just sent in my application
