Tushar, Michigan does not even consider SAT IIs. And your SAT doesn't concern me as much as your GPA. You say you have a 3.6 weighed GPA. Michigan doesn't consider weighed GPAs. Michigan will look at your individual letter grades in the "academic" classes you took during your Sophomore and Junior years, and will recalculate your GPA accordingly. Given your 1330 SAT score (good thing for you that Michigan doesn't consider the writing section of the SAT) and your average performance on AP exams, your GPA will have to be high if you are to have a good chance.

well okay, thank you for the info. My GPA should be better if they calculate unweighted. Because I have gotten all A's in science and math and every other subject. I however did get B+ in social studies and english. but oh well. I get what i deserve i guess. I took the SAT once more after I sent in my scores and got this 660V/670M/700W. Should I send the new scores in or not?

Yes, I would send in the new SAT score in case one of the members of the adcom decides to glance at your W section. A sub 650 score won't look as good as a 700.

If you got almost all As and just a couple of Bs, that would mean that your Michigan GPA is over 3.8. If that's the case, along with your top 5% class ranking and 1330 SAT score, your chances are decent. I'd say a match.

okay good. Thank you very much. I have been talking to the admission counselors, and they told me if they need the new scores, they will let me know. They said that if you are not accepted then we will ask for the new scores, otherwise they will just use the old ones. Hopefully my interest in the university (constantly contacting admission counselor) makes a difference
